Something Old, Something New: Stampin' Up! Fifth Avenue Floral

OK, so I have to confess that this card is mostly of the"old". But, I love using stuff from my stash so I just went with it! The black piece with the Fifth Avenue Floral topper is actually a bookmark. So this is a card AND a gift! I used Dotto adhesive to hold it to the card and the recipient will be able to remove it easily. Don't you think this is a nifty idea?

Here's a list of the current product used here:
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral-113734
Paper: Real Red- 102482, Whisper White- 100730
Ink: Basic Black Craft- 102192
Accessories: Scallop Edge Border Punch- 119882, 3/16"Corner Small Punch-119871 Real Red 5/8" Grosgrain- 117286, Dotto adhesive-103305

Try making a card or scrapbook page with your bits and pieces from your scraps and stash! Make it with someone special in mind and mail it!...Share the love! :)

Stampin' Up! Birthday: Sarina's Gift

Good Monday to everyone!
This weekend, I will be hosting a birthday party for my niece, Sarina, to help celebrate her 9th birthday! She has invited six of her friends to create some fun projects with her.

Whenever I conduct birthday parties for girls, I always have a special gift for the little lady of honor. This is what I have put together to present to Sarina. It's a great little desktop organizer, some fun notepads, a little journal, and a matching pen all embellished with the Petal Party Simply Scrappin' Kit (113059) from the Idea Book and Catalog from Stampin' Up! These kits are great for projects such as this...everything coordinates and the die cut adhesives included in the kit are awesome!
The monogram on the journal is from Sticky Cuts Letters (111109) and sprinkled withRose Pink Glitter from the Fine Cosmo Collection(108796). Other embellishments include Old Olive 5/8" Grosgrain (109054) and other retired ribbons along with a button from my stash.
Shop online for any of the products here and be sure to check out the Simply Scrappin' Kits---great for scrapbooking as well as projects such as this one!
Have a great day and happy crafting!

Stampin' Up! Sweet Pea Gift Ensemble

Good morning all!
I wanted to share this little gift box of cards that I made from our best friend's mom who turned 95 last week! She is amazing! I wanted to give her something that she might be able to use so I came up with this little gift box of cards using papers from the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack from the 2010 Occasions Mini.
I used strips of the designer paper on the Sahara Sand card base and chose different sentiments from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I used some retired Sahara Sand ribbon on the cards, but the box is adorned with Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain.
I love putting gifts like these together. Something from the heart, you know? What types of handmade gifts do you like to give? Leave a comment here and share it with us!

Have a wonderful day!---Lisa

Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Sneak Peek: Tiny Tags Bookmark

Hi everyone!

I have been wanting to make one of these bookmarks for a while and thought my new Tiny Tags Stamp Set might be perfect for the image. Here I have used some Very Vanilla hardware from the Hodgepodge Hardware collection. This particular piece corresponds with the Designer Label Punch. The brads, which are also available with this kit, attach the ribbon to the piece.

Here's a close up...

I used my Stampin' Write Markers to color the image and sentiment. Old Olive and Bravo Burgundy Ribbon match the colors of ink in the image. Try making one of these for a last minute gift. Let me know if you have questions!---Lisa

From the desk of...for Rachel

A friend asked me to do a Stampin' Up! birthday party for her daughter later this month. This is the gift I will be presenting to the little hostess. According to her mom, she loves desk accessories, journals, etc., so I thought Lauren Meaders' My Timeless Template, From the Desk of , would be perfect. I've used Raspberry Tart DSP for this little collection. The gift has a coordinating pen, covered journal with a bling-y chipboard monogram, dressed up notepad, and mini notebook, Kristina Werner style. I keep saying I am going to make one of these for me, but I always end up sharing it with someone! Hope you like it...thanks for stopping by!
