ink and inspirations Man(ic) Monday: Stampin Up! Sentimental Journey

Another masculine style card for you this Monday using Sentimental Journey(118513-wood, 120075-clear) and Travel Journal Designer Series Paper(117156) from the Summer Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up! and that great must-have set from the Idea Book and Catalog, Define Your Life (114950).

I brushed my VersaMark Pad(102283) directly along the edges of some of the layers and then embossed in gold(109129), and the compass image is embossed on the designer paper. Gold Brads(104337) provide an accent above the Journey definition. My Stamp-A-Ma-Jig (101049) stamp positioner helped to align the border.

My Favorite: Elements of Style from Stampin' Up!

I just love this new set in the 2010 Summer Mini from Stampin' Up!- Elements of Style(118611-wood;120045-clear).

Here you see the floral image as the focal point of the card and that lovely flourish on the base. Beautiful and versatile! So many different looks using this stamp.  It's my favorite from the 2010 Summer Mini Catalog.

Stampin' Up! Sentimental Journey

Hi everyone!  Here is card created with another favorite set from the 2010 Summer Mini; Sentimental Journey (wood-118513; clear- 120075).  The designer paper is from a coordinating pack; Travel Journal (117156) and to add to overall theme of "journey", I added the definition from the ever-versatile set: Define Your Life(114950).  

I thought this would make a great graduation card for a young lady and so I added  some bling with Dazzling Diamonds(102023) and Clear Rhinestone Brads(113144).  This particular card will be presented to my club hostesses this month.

Presto Change-O: Stampin' Up! Style!

On this one, I've used silver embossing, punched stars, and a hardware label from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware(111325) collection.

Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Sneak Peek: Elements of Style

Wait until you see THIS set! Absolutely beautiful and so much fun to color! This is the new set, Elements of Style debuting May 1st in the 2010 Summer Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up!
Here, I have stamped it in Black Stazon on Glossy White card stock and colored with my Stampin' Write Markers. The glossy card stock makes it so easy to blend the colors. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black and framed with a piece from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware. A black satin bow with a pin made from elements in the Pretties Kit adds the finishing touch.

Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Sneak Peek:Mostly Vintage

I just love stenciling! This great stencil,Mostly Vintage(118877) from the soon to debut Summer Mini Catalog on May 1st, is awesome and also includes a mask for a reverse effect...really special!

I used three colors of ink here: Night of Navy(102977), Taken With Teal(103257), and Bermuda Bay(115655). Using sponge daubers, I lightly dabbed ink over the stencil until I got the intensity and color effect that I wanted. Edges of the Whisper White(100730) card stock were sponged with all three colors also. Base of the card is in Night of Navy(100867) and with a Bermuda Bay(115317) layer to set off the main image. I added a Square Ice Rhinestone Brad(109113) in the center for added interest and a bit of bling. Sentiment is from the ever versatile, Define Your Life(114950).
