Something Old, Something New: Grateful Days

Some days, I have a heck of a time getting my "groove" on...this was one of those days. Don't get me wrong; I am pleased with how this card turned out, but I. kid. you. not. I stamped the three images on the side of the card and looked at it for almost an hour before I could move on! Seriously...total frustration.
Then, I looked over at my ribbon stash and found this "retired" Chocolate Chip Striped grosgrain and it hit me. :)
I cut the piece long enough to go around the card and then sliced that in half, length-wise. Then, decided to go with Crumb Cake accents which led to the Border Scallop and the Big Designer Button (yum...reminds me of a butterscotch candy). I stamped the leaf image (again) on Very Vanilla, cut it out, and pressed it directly onto my Crumb Cake Classic Ink pad. Kept it simple and stamped the sentiment directly onto the card base. Ta-dah...finished :).
If you like it, and because I am so grateful that you visit me here on the blog every day, leave a comment on this post and I'll conduct a random drawing Thursday evening after 9:00 pm Central and the winner will receive this card in the mail. :) Be sure you leave an email for me to contact you for your mailing address.
A few details...
The old: Dusty Durango Textured card stock, Choc Chip Striped Ribbon
The "new": Big Designer Buttons (Deck the Halls) 121002, Day of Gratitude stamp set wood:120835, clear: 121148

Mrs. Lisa, your cards are always so cute (I look at your blog daily). I have some leaf stamps from Aunt Norresa, but I have been stumped as to how to tie them in with other items. I love the plain and simple look and I think buttons are always a good way to make something cute!! Now I can start working on the Thanksgiving cards I wanted to do!!!
