Before I get started, just want to remind you to post here for a chance to win my birthday blog candy giveaway! You have until midnight Sunday, June 7th!
I finally got around to Lori Craig's Weekend Sketch Challenge! I tried the watercoloring with reinkers on Shimmery White CS again, this time with a different floral image from Fifth Avenue Floral. The reinkers I used were Taken with Teal, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie. The mixing of these colors had a very interesting result. After the image dried, I chose Night of Navy(looks more like Brilliant Blue in the photo), More Mustard, Baja Breeze, and Old Olive for my CS colors. I used the Diamond Texturz plate on the Baja panel, and punched holes with my paper piercer. I free-handed the diamonds for the group of three and used More Mustard brads as accents. Sentiment is from Chit Chat rub ons on the Old Olive Grosgrain.

We'll be headed down to Lake Jackson today for my nephew's graduation. He plans to attend Texas A&M in the fall. On Saturday, we have a wedding reception to attend and then we'll help out at a class reunion. On Sunday after church, I have a girl's day planned with my daughters, sister in law, and niece...then, one of my stamp clubs meets that evening...busy but fun weekend!
I'll see you all back here on Monday with the winner of my birthday blog candy!
Have a great weekend!---Lisa :)
