I love to look through my Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog for inspiration. Last night, as I was browsing the pages, I came upon this little project idea on p. 142. It is shown as a little "Wish List" notebook using the stamp set, Taking Care of Business. Using Stampin' Up!'s exclusive Scalloped Envelope Bigz Die and this same set along with some other accessories, I created this little notebook you see here.
I used some chipboard that I had saved from some packaging and ran it right through my Big Shot with the die. I cut away the pieces I did not need and used Rockabilly Designer Series paper, cut also with the die and Big Shot, to cover it. I measured a piece on another sheet of chipboard for the back and covered it also. Before gluing all together, I attached a piece of Taffeta Ribbon (I thought I was grabbing White and it was Vanilla!) and attached it with glue dots, knotting it at the end. I tied a piece of the same ribbon through the button from Button Bouquet. pushing it through the button holes with my Paper Piercing Tool.
I used a label piece from my Silver Hodgepodge Hardware for my I.D. tag, cutting the eyelet off on of one end using my Craft and Rubber Scissors. My name is stamped with the Simple Serif Mini Alphabet and Numbers.
Finally, I cut some copy paper to fit inside the notebook and stamped each piece with the "to do" stamp.... punched everything with the Crop-A-Dile and put it all together with a book ring. I thought it was a really cute idea...what do you think?
Thanks for stopping by ...have a great week!--Lisa
