Color Inspiration Challenge #45

Hi All! Hope you are having a marvelous weekend! The weather here is damp, cold, and dreary but we have our health and each other and we are blessed!

And, for Kristina Werner's color inspiration challenge this week: Basic Black, Basic Gray, and Whisper White! When my husband asked "what cha makin?", I told him I was working on Kristina's challenge and proceeded to tell him the colors for this week. "Sounds kinda drab and dreary...," he responded. When I showed him the finished product his face lit up and said, "babe! wow!" (He's so supportive and encouraging...wish you all could meet him!)
Anyway, I really love using these colors and I was so glad to be able to use Stampin' Up's Specialty Paper, Rockabilly for this card. I used Julie Buhler's technique for paper roses and inked the edges with Basic Gray to give it some dimension. It's a little hard to tell but I used some of the beautiful , ribbed black velvet ribbon from Valet Ribbon Orginals and the flower center is those wonderful 5/8" Jumbo Brads. I used my Scallop Edge Punch and paper piercing tool from the Crafter's Tool Kit for the accent strips. The sentiment is from All Holidays.

Thanks for taking the time and visiting today! I appreciate your comments...thanks so much!

:) Lisa
