create-a-cupcake

Happy New Year!

This is a card I made for Taylor Vanbruggen's Dare to Get Dirty Challenge this summer over on Splitcoaststampers. At the time, I did not have one cupcake stamp!! so I had to come up with something!

I used my scallop circle punch to punch the cupcake top from a die cut adhesive flower from the now discontinued, Summer Days Simply Scrappin' Kit and I freehanded the bottom and ran it through my crimper. I really liked this card and I made two more just like it to send to my two daughters. Hope you like it, too!

Thanks for visiting and may 2009 be filled with blessings for you and yours!

How sweet! Your freehanded cupcake came out really nice! What a great suggestion for someone who doesn't have a cupcake stamp (like me!). I really like the color scheme on this one too.

Big hugs back at ya, Lisa! I'm so glad I made such a great blogger friend in 08!

Happy New Year, Lisa! Thanks for the comments on my blog.

Very cute card! I would've never known you free-handed part of the cupcake. Very creative use of the scallop punch.
