Trendy Thursday: Trinket Pins

Some embellishments that I've come across that I thought were adorable are trinket pins. These are tiny little things on the end of a pin to add to your projects. So, I decided to try to make some with products from Stampin' Up! and here is the result:

Aren't these just so cute? Here is how I did it...really easy!
I cut the little trees with my Big Shot and the Sizzlits Merry Details-two of each size. I took ordinary straight pins and stuck a Mini Glue Dot on the head. I put the trees on the front and back side of each pin...made a sandwich with the pin head and glue dot in the middle. I placed both pins on a cello bag (so as not to stick) and coated one side of each with Crystal Effects. I sprinkled a little Dazzling Diamonds on each while still wet. Really, you should give these overnight to dry before attaching to your project.
I thought it added a cute finishing touch to the card. Love that ribbon? Always Artichoke Seam Binding(121000) from the Holiday Mini.

Mrs. Lisa, how did you make the cream colored banner look antique? Did the paper come like that or did you use ink to make it? Just curious--cute Christmas card :)

Tree trinket pins?! Genius!

Claysey,
That is Very Vanilla card stock that I "curled" with my bone folder to break down the fibers to make it look old. Then I sponged Soft Suede Classic ink around the edges to age it even more.

Claysey...Correction...I started with Crumb Cake not Very Vanilla! Then, inked with Soft Suede :)
