Winter Post Antique:Christmas Card Countdown 3

Hi All!

I felt like playing with my inks this evening and came up with this card using one of my favorite Christmas sets, Winter Post. I began with a piece of Very Vanilla CS and embossed in three different powders: Black, Clear, and Gold. Classic ink in Bravo Burgundy, Garden Green, and Soft Suede are sponged and rubbed over the images. Also in the background, is the flourish image from the Vintage Ornaments II stencil set. I used a sponge dauber to "pounce" on Soft Suede ink. The snowflake embellishment is from the Merry Details Sizzlit in the Holiday Mini, inked with Encore Gold and secured with a gold brad. Merry Moments DSP is mounted as the background layer. Sprayed over the entire card is the Shimmer Paint spray made with Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol!

Thanks for stopping by!--Lisa

Inklings:

  • Soft Suede Classic Ink is a GREAT color for distressing and getting the aged look.

  • Using the sponged look on all layers pulls all the elements and layers together.

All supplies from Stampin' Up!
