Stampin' Up! Night and Day + Kind Thoughts Brocade Stencil

Hi all!
Just a quick post with today's creation. I really love the Night and Day Specialty Designer Paper (116768, $11.95) in the Holiday Mini and wanted to work with it in a different way on this card.

Lots of patterns going on here, but I am pleased with the end result. On the smallest panel, I used the Kind Thoughts Brocade Stencil -small (116572, $9.95) and stenciled a portion of it onto the designer paper using Basic Black Craft ink and clear embossed to set it. The sentiment circle is stamped with "happy birthday" from Teeny Tiny Wishes with stenciled accents. I love how portions of the stencils can be used for added interest. Give it a try!

Until next time, Happy Stamping!---Lisa :)
Inklings:

  • Sponge Daubers are great for "stenciling" on smaller projects such as cards and scrapbook pages. I use a pouncing motion to apply the ink.

  • Stampin' Up! has beautiful designer papers that work beautifully on cards. To make these stand out on your projects, try matting with a solid color cardstock included in the paper design.
