Autumn Days

Hi everyone!
Another Autumn Days card here...this one for my father in law for his birthday! I just love the rich, earthy colors in Stampin' Up!'s Autumn collection!
I clear embossed the image from the stamp set on Whisper White cardstock then used Stampin' Sponges to build the color: first More Mustard, then a little Always Artichoke followed by Ruby Red then Soft Suede around the edges. Inspiration for this card came from this week's Sketch Challenge, #249, on SCS. All products available from Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Autumn Days
Paper: Soft Suede, Always Artichoke CS, Autumn Traditions DSP
Ink: Versa Mark, Soft Suede, Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Ruby Red CSPs
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Stampin' Sponges, Autumn Harverst Rub Ons

Inklings:
  • When background layers are "busy" such as this card with the DSP layers, try a more simple approach to your main image.
  • VersaMark (102283; $7.50) is a clear, sticky "ink" that is great for embossing or creating a tone on tone, watermark look on your projects. This is a must-have for card makers...get yours here!

Have a great day!---Lisa :)

Clear embossed on white! Great idea. Love how it turned out and with the sponging! Very nice technique
