friend to friend: using scraps...a personal challenge

Happy Friday to all!

I've been busy doing some major cleaning out here at home this week. Feels so good to get rid of that "stuff" that's just been collecting dust and you don't EVEN remember that you had!---know what I mean??? Anyway, now I don't feel so "guilty?" about spending some much time in my stamp room. :)

This morning, I found the Upsy Daisy set and some left over paper and ribbon on my desk so I decided to challenge myself and make a little card using ONLY these left over scraps. I love being able to use these left over bits of paper and ribbon. I even had the Eyelet border punched just begging to be used!

I stamped the Upsy Daisy image in VersaMark on a piece of Parisian Breeze Specialty Designer Paper then embossed the image with Clear Embossing Powder. Using Sponge Daubers, I added color to the blooms using Baja Breeze and Mellow Moss. The "friend to friend" sentiment is from Love You Much and punched with the Small and Large Oval punches.

My bit of Kraft Taffeta Ribbon was a bit too small to go around the entire card so I used my Slot Punch and threaded it through ...perfect!

I didn't photograph the inside of my card, but the "daisy" image is stamped in VersaMark for a tone on tone effect. I like using this technique on the inside of my cards because it still allows enough space for your message...you can write directly on the stamped image ---it has a watermark effect.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I challenge you to make a card from your scraps today! Put a link here in the comment section...I'd love to see your work!---Lisa :)
