Birthday Card

Today is my sweet husband's birthday and he wanted me to share this card I made for him. He is SUCH a supporter of my craft and always so encouraging! ...a really special guy! I surprised him with tickets to see David Copperfield tonight!

So, for the card...I made this long card for a different look. He loves the Lovely As A Tree stamp from Stampin' Up! (one of my favorites, too!) so I used the leaf pattern stamped and embossed and cut three times. Other details: accent strip is that awesome bronze cardstock from SU!'s Taste of Textiles, the sentiment embossed from More Thoughts in the Simply Sent Kit, button from the Kiwi Kiss Corduroy collection, Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain Ribbon, coloring with Copics.

Thanks for visiting today!---Lisa

This is stunning, Lisa! I'm sure your husband will love it.

I have Lovely as a Tree and it is my most neglected stamp set. I bought it to make cards for the men in my life, but I haven't used it yet. Thanks for the inspiration!

What a gorgeous card! I can't imagine how tedious cutting out those leaves were - but it sounds like your husband is worth it! Hope he enjoyed his card and gift!!
