Hooked on Haiku

Hi ya'll!

I'm still pullin' cards from my "archives" at SCS. Here are two cards featuring Stampin' Up!'s Eastern Blooms and Haiku Designer Series Paper. I have to admit that when the In Colors were first introduced, I did not think I would like Tangerine Tango at all! But, now, I think it is beautiful especially with the color combinations in this designer paper. As the title to the post states, I am hooked on haiku!

The first card features the rock and roll technique on the main image. Dazzling Diamonds accent the center of the flower. As a background layer to the bloom, I stamped the square frame from Frames with a Flourish from SU! and backed it with another layer of Old Olive CS. The sentiment is embossed in white directly onto the designer paper.

On the second card, I added a few elements such as the Scallp Border, layered blooms, and green microbeads in the center. I dipped a Mini Glue Dot into the microbeads before attaching it to the card.

If you haven't tried any of this beautiful paper or this awesome stamp set, it is in the current catalog from Stampin'Up!, give it a try! (Eastern Blooms, 111626, $21.95; Haiku Designer Paper,112470, $9.95.)
